Hi,
if you move to a big city having a car would be very useful. apartments for rent are pretty easy to get but the prices could be very high, expats can pay anywhere from 500 to 700 euros for a two bedroom apartment.

Food is decent and it will cost you about 300 dollars per month for one person. That is without eating out.

If you have other questions feel free to email me at nia282000@yahoo.com

Regards
Ioana

I am considering a job in Bucharest. I am wondering what the cost of living is like compared to a mid-size town in the southern U.S.

Will I need to have a car?

What is the housing like?

What should I know before I make my decision?
