Principal Consultant/Hydrogeologist

The role will also have a strong Business Development focus in the Regulatory and Water Sectors.
FIRST DEGREE: BSc Geology, Geography, Environmental Science or similar SECOND DEGREE: MSc or PhD Hydrogeology desirable

Principal Planner
We are seeking energetic and innovative staff who can lead business development and delivery of our solution oriented service to our existing and new blue chip clients. This position will be at the core of our Planning / EIA business in Scotland and we are looking for an individual who wants the challenge and rewards that will go with driving the growth of the local business as well as supporting the national Planning and EIA Business.
The successful candidate will have at least 8 years experience, and a Masters Degree in suitable discipline and an excellent understanding of UK planning legislation and processes. Full RTPI Membership is required for this position. The position is primarily in support of our UK Clients but support to international projects is required from time to time.
Experience of planning applications, appraisals, assessments and appeals is essential. Experience of EIAs, SEAs and work with utilities and / or water companies will be of benefit. Experience of working in a consulting environment is also important.
Individual will also demonstrate a track record in preparation of high quality oral and written communications. Experience in preparation of consulting proposals and estimates will be an advantage.

Senior Consultant Hydrologist
Newcastle upon Tyne
Are you capable of managing and delivering technically demanding hydrological, flood management and/or water resource projects? Are you experienced at managing project teams? Do you have experience of proposal preparation and winning business? Does working as part of a professional, motivated multi-disciplinary team of planning, environmental and water management specialists appeal to you?
We are working on a challenging programme of flood risk assessments, wetland and river projects and water resource studies for a wide range of clients and need a capable individual to join the team to take on responsibility for project management and providing senior technical input to a range of projects.
If you have an appropriate MSc and at least 5 years' relevant experience, probably gained within a commercial environment, we would like to talk to you.
We are also interested in talking to more experienced project managers who might take a more senior role within the organisation.
